Psalms
The Book of Psalms is the primary worship book of the Bible, a collection of 150 sacred songs, prayers, and poems written by various authors, primarily King David. These songs express the full range of human emotion: joy, praise, gratitude, sorrow, anger, doubt, and hope. The Psalms are traditionally grouped into five books, covering different types of worship: psalms of praise, laments, royal psalms, wisdom psalms, and historical psalms. They served as the ancient Jewish hymn book and continue to be a central resource for worship, meditation, and spiritual guidance for both Jews and Christians, teaching believers how to communicate openly and honestly with God in every circumstance of life.
A hymn of praise for God's provision. The psalm celebrates God forgiving sins, answering prayers, and blessing the earth with rain and rich harvests.

A prayer for God's blessing and mercy, so that all nations may recognize God's saving power. It envisions global rejoicing as God rules the earth justly.
A military song celebrating God's triumph. The psalm recounts God leading His people from Sinai and establishing His dwelling place in Zion.
