1 Chronicles 14

1 Chronicles 14

King Hiram of Tyre sends workmen and materials to build a magnificent palace for David, symbolizing the strength and stability of his kingdom. David continues to be blessed with children in Jerusalem. When the Philistines hear David has been anointed king over all Israel, they attack. David consults God before engaging in battle. God grants David a major victory. When the Philistines attack a second time, God instructs David to attack only after hearing the sound of marching in the balsam trees, leading to a decisive victory and establishing David's international fame.
