1 Corinthians 13

1 Corinthians 13

This chapter, often called the Love Chapter, follows the discussion of spiritual gifts. Paul argues that gifts like speaking in tongues, prophecy, and knowledge are worthless without love. He defines love not as a feeling, but as a commitment demonstrated through action: Love is patient, kind, does not envy or boast, and always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. Paul concludes that when Christ returns, gifts will cease, but faith, hope, and love will remain, with love being the greatest of these.
