1 Corinthians 5

1 Corinthians 5

Paul addresses a shocking case of sexual immorality within the church: a man is living with his father’s wife. Paul sternly commands the church to expel the man from the fellowship, calling them to act decisively to preserve the purity of the church. Paul compares this sin to yeast (leaven) that spreads throughout the whole batch of dough. He commands them to remove the ""old leaven"" of malice and wickedness so they can be a new batch, celebrating the Passover Lamb, Christ.
