1 Corinthians 8

1 Corinthians 8

Paul addresses the problem of eating food sacrificed to idols. Paul states that idols are nothing and that those with knowledge know that eating the food is acceptable. However, he introduces the principle of love and weak conscience. If eating the food causes a weaker brother, who still struggles with the idea of idols, to stumble or sin, then the stronger believer should refrain from eating the food out of love for their brother.
