1 Kings 10

1 Kings 10

The Queen of Sheba, having heard of Solomon's fame and wisdom, travels to Jerusalem with a vast caravan of spices, gold, and precious stones to test him with hard questions. Solomon answers all her inquiries, and she is overwhelmed by his wisdom, his extravagant palace, the structure of his government, and the quality of his food and servants. She declares that the half had not been told to her. She gives Solomon 120 talents of gold and many costly gifts. The chapter concludes by listing the enormous wealth and trade that flowed into Israel under Solomon's reign.
