1 Kings 21

1 Kings 21

King Ahab covets the beautiful vineyard of his neighbor, Naboth the Jezreelite. When Naboth refuses to sell his ancestral land, Ahab sinks into a sulk. The wicked Queen Jezebel plots to acquire the land by having Naboth falsely accused of cursing God and the king. Naboth is subsequently stoned to death. Ahab takes possession of the vineyard. God sends Elijah to confront Ahab, prophesying that God will bring disaster upon Ahab's house, and that Jezebel's body will be eaten by dogs in Jezreel.
