1 Kings 22

1 Kings 22

After three years of peace, King Ahab of Israel convinces King Jehoshaphat of Judah to join him in battle against Aram to reclaim the city of Ramoth-Gilead. Jehoshaphat insists they first inquire of God. Four hundred false prophets promise victory, but Jehoshaphat insists on hearing from the true prophet, Micaiah. Micaiah prophesies disaster, seeing Israel scattered like sheep without a shepherd. Ahab throws Micaiah in prison. Ahab disguises himself for battle, but a randomly shot arrow strikes and kills him, fulfilling Elijah's prophecy.
