1 Kings 6

1 Kings 6

Solomon begins construction of the Temple in the fourth year of his reign. The structure is built with meticulous detail: its dimensions, windows, walls lined with cedar, and two-room layout (Holy Place and Most Holy Place). God appears to Solomon, warning him that the Temple’s enduring significance depends not on its grandeur, but on Solomon’s obedience to God’s laws. After seven years of building, the Temple is completed, ready for the dedication ceremony.
