1 Kings 9
After the dedication, the Lord appears to Solomon a second time (the first being at Gibeon). God confirms that He has consecrated the Temple and that His name will be there forever. The chapter then details Solomon's building projects, his trade agreements with King Hiram, and his continued use of forced labor from the remaining Canaanite population.
