1 Peter 2

1 Peter 2

Peter urges believers to rid themselves of malice, deceit, and slander, and to crave pure spiritual milk to grow in their salvation. He declares that believers are living stones being built into a spiritual house, a royal priesthood and a holy nation belonging to God. Peter commands them to submit to every human authority (governors, masters) for the Lord’s sake. He teaches that Christ left an example of patient suffering and never retaliating when insulted.
