1 Peter 5

1 Peter 5

Peter, an elder himself, instructs the elders to shepherd God's flock willingly, not under compulsion, and to be examples to the church. He commands the younger members to submit to the elders. Peter urges all believers to be sober and alert, because their enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour. He encourages them to cast all their anxiety on God because He cares for them. The letter ends with a final greeting and peace.
