1 Timothy 2

1 Timothy 2

Paul gives instructions on public prayer and worship. He commands that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for everyone, especially for kings and all those in authority, so that believers may lead peaceful lives. Paul states that God desires all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. Paul provides directives for men (praying everywhere) and women (dressing modestly and quietly learning), emphasizing order and proper demeanor in the church.
