2 John 1

John addresses this short letter to the "elect lady and her children" (likely a local church and its members). He rejoices that he has found some of her children walking in the truth. John strongly urges them to continue to walk in love and to obey God's commands. He warns them severely against deceivers who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. John commands the church not to welcome or offer greetings to false teachers who seek to spread error.
