2 Kings 3

2 Kings 3

Jehoram, the new king of Israel, is slightly better than his predecessor, Ahab, but still follows the evil example of Jeroboam. When the king of Moab rebels against Israel, Jehoram teams up with Jehoshaphat (King of Judah) and the king of Edom to attack Moab. They run out of water in the wilderness. The three kings seek advice from Elisha. Elisha initially insults Jehoram but, out of respect for Jehoshaphat, asks for a musician. The Spirit of God comes upon Elisha, and he miraculously commands the army to dig ditches to be filled by unseen water, securing victory over Moab.
