2 Kings 4

2 Kings 4

Elisha performs two major miracles. First, he helps a poor widow whose creditors are about to take her two sons as slaves. Elisha tells her to gather as many empty vessels as possible; her small jar of oil miraculously fills all the vessels, providing enough money to pay her debts. Second, Elisha stays with a wealthy, hospitable woman in Shunem. As she is barren, Elisha prophesies she will have a son. Later, the boy suddenly dies. The woman seeks Elisha, who goes to her home and raises the dead boy back to life through intense prayer.
