2 Kings 8

2 Kings 8

Elisha warns the Shunammite woman (whose son he raised) to leave Israel with her family to escape a seven-year famine. After seven years, she returns and appeals to the king to restore her land. At that exact moment, Gehazi (Elisha's former servant) is recounting Elisha's great miracles to the king, including the story of the Shunammite woman’s son. The king, impressed by the divine coincidence, orders her land and all her profits restored. The chapter concludes by detailing the reigns of two wicked kings, Jehoram and Ahaziah, in Judah.
