2 Samuel 12

2 Samuel 12

God sends the prophet Nathan to confront David about his terrible sin with Bathsheba and Uriah. Nathan tells David a story about a rich man who stole a poor man's single lamb to feed his guest. David grows angry and declares the rich man deserves to die. Nathan then delivers the devastating words, "You are the man!" David immediately confesses, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan announces God forgives David, but the consequences will be severe: the child born of the affair will die, and the sword will never depart from David's house.
