Amnon feigns illness and forces himself upon Tamar, committing rape. Tamar's full brother, Absalom, takes her into his house and waits two full years to seek revenge. Absalom invites all the King’s sons to a feast and orders his servants to murder Amnon while he is drunk. Absalom then flees to Geshur, seeking refuge from his father's wrath.
