2 Samuel 22

2 Samuel 22

This chapter records a magnificent Psalm of David, almost identical to Psalm 18, praising the Lord for His deliverance from all his enemies, especially from the hand of Saul. David celebrates God as his Rock, Fortress, and Deliverer. The psalm contains vivid imagery of God descending in power—with smoke, fire, and thunder—to save David. It affirms David's blamelessness and integrity before God and concludes with a declaration of God's perfect way, His covenant faithfulness, and the strength He grants to His anointed king.
