2 Thessalonians 2

2 Thessalonians 2

Paul clarifies confusion about the Day of the Lord, assuring them it has not yet come. He explains that two specific events must happen first: the rebellion and the unveiling of the Man of Lawlessness (the Antichrist). Paul reveals that the Man of Lawlessness is currently being restrained by someone/something. When this restraint is removed, the wicked one will perform deceptive miracles. Paul commands believers to stand firm and hold to the teachings they received, praising God for choosing them for salvation.
