2 Thessalonians 3

2 Thessalonians 3

Paul asks the believers to pray that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and that he may be delivered from wicked and evil people. He assures them that the Lord is faithful and will strengthen and protect them from the evil one. Paul addresses the problem of idleness in the church, sternly commanding that anyone who refuses to work should not be allowed to eat. He commands them to work quietly, support themselves, and avoid the lazy, though they should not treat the idle person as an enemy.
