Acts 12

Acts 12

King Herod Agrippa begins a persecution, executing the Apostle James (the brother of John). Herod then arrests Peter during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The church prays fervently for Peter's release. An angel of the Lord appears in Peter's cell, frees him from his chains, and leads him out of the prison. Peter miraculously goes to the house where the church is praying. King Herod is later struck down by God and dies a horrible death because he accepted worship as a god.
