Acts 14

Acts 14

Paul and Barnabas preach in Iconium, where they perform great signs, but the city becomes divided. They escape to Lystra, where Paul heals a man lame from birth. The local people mistake Barnabas for Zeus and Paul for Hermes and attempt to offer sacrifices to them. Paul and Barnabas vehemently reject the worship. Jews from Antioch and Iconium arrive and incite the crowd to stone Paul, leaving him for dead. Paul miraculously recovers, and they return to organize the new churches.

Ezekiel 15

God compares Jerusalem to the vine of a wild grape, which is useless except as fuel for fire. This symbolizes God's plan to destroy the city and make it desolate.

Ezekiel 16

God describes Jerusalem's history as a long, detailed allegory of a foundling baby who was saved and married but then became a promiscuous prostitute to foreign idols.
