Acts 16

Acts 16

Paul and Silas begin a second missionary journey. Paul circumcises Timothy, who joins the team. The Holy Spirit miraculously forbids them from preaching in Asia and Bithynia, directing them to the coast where Paul receives the Macedonian Call in a vision: "Come over to Macedonia and help us." In Philippi, they convert Lydia, a successful cloth dealer. After Paul casts a spirit out of a fortune-telling slave girl, they are arrested, beaten, and thrown into prison. An earthquake frees them, and they convert the Philippian jailer and his family.
