Acts 7

Acts 7

Stephen delivers a powerful, lengthy speech before the Sanhedrin, recounting the entire history of Israel from Abraham to Solomon. He argues that Israel has consistently rejected God's messengers, including Moses and the prophets, and that the Jerusalem Temple was never meant to confine God. Stephen directly accuses the council of resisting the Holy Spirit and murdering the Righteous One (Jesus). The enraged crowd drags Stephen outside the city and stones him to death.
