Deuteronomy 10

Moses reminds the people of two crucial events. He recalls cutting the two new tablets of stone and ascending the mountain again, where God graciously rewrote the Ten Commandments. He also recalls the death of Aaron and the special blessing given to the Levites. Moses then summarizes the core requirement of the covenant: "And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul?"
