The book concludes by briefly summarizing the great power and accomplishments of King Xerxes. It notes that all the details of his reign and his greatness, and the full account of the promotion of Mordecai and his high office, were recorded in the official royal chronicles of Persia. Mordecai, now the second-in-command, serves the King and works for the good of his people, seeking peace and prosperity for the Jewish population across the entire vast empire.
