Exodus 14

Exodus 14

Pharaoh quickly regrets releasing his source of free labor, hardens his heart again, and mobilizes his entire army, including 600 of his best chariots, to pursue the now-trapped Israelites. The Hebrews find themselves pinned between Pharaoh’s mighty army and the Red Sea. Filled with panic, the people cry out and accuse Moses of bringing them to the wilderness to die. Moses assures them that the Lord will fight for them. God commands Moses to stretch out his staff, and the waters of the Red Sea miraculously part.
