Exodus 22

The laws continue, focusing primarily on financial integrity and social morality. This includes rules regarding theft (requiring extensive restitution), damages caused by animals, and the responsibility of borrowers and lenders. God mandates protection for the vulnerable: do not oppress foreigners, widows, or orphans. The chapter also addresses holiness, strictly prohibiting sexual immorality, witchcraft, and mandates the firstfruits of harvest and the firstborn of sons and livestock be dedicated to God.
