Exodus 31

Exodus 31

God names and empowers the master craftsman, Bezalel, from the tribe of Judah, and his assistant, Oholiab, from the tribe of Dan. God explicitly states that He has filled them with the Spirit of God, giving them wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to execute all the designs for the Tabernacle and its intricate furnishings. The chapter solemnly reaffirms the command to observe the Sabbath as an eternal sign of the covenant, warning that disobedience is punishable by death.
