Ezekiel 14

Ezekiel 14

Several of the elders of Israel come to Ezekiel to inquire of the Lord. God responds that because they still harbor idols in their hearts, God will not answer them. God warns that if any prophet presumes to speak peace to someone who is still practicing idolatry, God will bring judgment upon both the idolater and the false prophet. God declares that even the righteousness of the most godly figures—Noah, Daniel, and Job—could save only themselves, not the wicked city.
