Ezekiel 22

Ezekiel 22

God lists the catalogue of sins committed in Jerusalem that have justified its destruction. The city is full of bloodshed, idolatry, incest, oppression of the fatherless and widow, extortion, and violation of the Sabbath. The leaders (princes and priests) are described as greedy predators. God declares that the whole nation is now like a mixture of dross (worthless metal) in the furnace. God tried to find one man to stand in the gap, but found none, so He will pour out His wrath upon them.
