Genesis 18

Genesis 18

The Lord appears to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre as three men. Abraham shows immense hospitality by immediately preparing a lavish meal for them. During the meal, the Lord promises that Sarah will have a son within the year, causing 90-year-old Sarah to laugh in disbelief. The Lord then shares His plan to destroy the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham boldly intercedes for Sodom, arguing with God to spare the city if even ten righteous people can be found there.
