Genesis 20

Genesis 20

Abraham repeats his former mistake, moving to Gerar and again falsely claiming his wife, Sarah, is his sister, fearing for his life. King Abimelech takes Sarah, believing her to be available. God appears to Abimelech in a dream, warning him that Sarah is married. Abimelech confronts Abraham, who justifies his lie by saying Sarah is his half-sister. Abimelech returns Sarah, giving Abraham gifts and land. Abraham then prays for Abimelech, and God heals the king and his household, who had been struck with illness.
