Genesis 46

Genesis 46

Jacob is overjoyed to hear that Joseph is alive and prepares to move his entire family to Egypt. On the way, God speaks to Jacob in a night vision at Beersheba, assuring him not to be afraid to go to Egypt and reaffirming the covenant that He will make him a great nation there and bring his descendants back one day. Jacob and his large family (seventy people in total) arrive in Egypt. Joseph travels to Goshen and has an emotional reunion with his father, Jacob, after decades of separation.
