Haggai 1

Haggai 1

Haggai delivers his prophecy to the returned exiles in Jerusalem, addressing Governor Zerubbabel and High Priest Joshua. His core message is an urgent command to rebuild the temple. The people have spent years focusing on building and decorating their own houses, leaving the Lord's house in ruins. As a result, God has cursed their efforts: they plant much but harvest little. Haggai's strong words motivate the leaders and the people, and they immediately begin the work of rebuilding the temple in obedience.
