Hebrews 12

Hebrews 12

The author commands believers to fix their eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. He uses the analogy of a race, urging believers to throw off everything that hinders and run with perseverance. The author assures them that God disciplines those He loves, and trials should be accepted as proof of sonship. He issues the fifth and final warning: Do not refuse Him who speaks from heaven, contrasting Mount Sinai with the unshakeable Kingdom of God.
