Hosea 12

Hosea 12

God condemns Ephraim (Israel) for chasing after the wind and making a treaty with Assyria while attempting to bargain with Egypt. God reminds Jacob's descendants of the patriarch's past struggles—Jacob wrestled with an angel and prevailed. God reminds them that He is the Lord, the God of Hosts. God condemns the merchants for using deceptive scales and loving to oppress others. God promises to make them live in tents again, as in the wilderness, until they return to Him.
