Hosea 13

Hosea 13

God recalls that when Ephraim spoke, they caused trembling, but they sinned greatly by worshipping Baal and making silver idols, leading to their downfall. God promises to destroy them utterly, making them vanish like the morning cloud or smoke. God declares, "I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; you shall know no God but Me." God promises to be Israel's ultimate Redeemer, and He mocks the power of death and the grave: "O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction!"
