Hosea 4

Hosea 4

God brings a lawsuit against the people of Israel, declaring there is no truth, mercy, or knowledge of God in the land. Instead, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery abound. God’s judgment is specifically directed at the priests, who have rejected knowledge and failed to teach the Law, leading the people into ruin. God declares that because the priests have forgotten the Law, God will also forget their children. God warns the people that their sacrifices and religious efforts are utterly rejected.
