Hosea 7

Hosea 7

God describes the inner corruption of Israel. The people are compared to a hot oven in their intense wickedness, constantly plotting evil against their rulers. The nation is also compared to a cake unturned, half-baked and useless. Israel foolishly seeks foreign alliances, mixing with the nations, which consumes their strength without them realizing it. God laments that they do not return to the Lord but cry out on their beds, seeking help from foreign gods.
