Isaiah 10

Isaiah 10

God pronounces a severe woe against the wicked rulers and judges of Judah who enact unjust laws, oppressing the poor, widows, and fatherless. God then declares that Assyria is His chosen rod of anger, used to punish Israel's hypocrisy. However, Assyria acts with arrogant pride, boasting of its own power, not realizing it is merely a tool in God’s hand. God promises that once He has finished using Assyria to judge Israel, He will turn and judge the proud King of Assyria with complete destruction.
