Isaiah 25

Isaiah 25

This chapter serves as a hymn of praise for God's faithfulness and ultimate victory over all evil. The prophet praises God for destroying the oppressive city (symbolizing all human resistance) and becoming a refuge for the poor and needy during the storm. The most powerful promise is that on Mount Zion, the Lord will swallow up death forever, wipe away the tears from all faces, and remove the disgrace of His people. The people will finally proclaim, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us."
