Isaiah 26

Isaiah 26

The people of God sing a powerful song of salvation in the future Kingdom. They declare that in the Lord, they have a strong city, and His salvation serves as their walls and ramparts. The song affirms that God will crush the proud and level the arrogance of the haughty city. The core message is one of trust: they call on the faithful to trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. The song concludes with a resurrection hope: the dead shall live, and the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.
