Isaiah 29

God pronounces judgment on Ariel (meaning "Altar Hearth," a name for Jerusalem), declaring that the city will be besieged and brought low, speaking from the dust like a spirit. God announces that He will blind the leaders and prophets, causing the people to rely on empty rituals and hypocrisy. God condemns their insincere worship: "This people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me." God promises a future miracle when the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the blind will see, leading to a spiritual revival.
