Isaiah 3

Isaiah 3

God announces imminent judgment on Judah and Jerusalem for their wickedness and oppression of the poor. God will remove all the strong leaders, judges, and wise men, leaving them with childish, ineffective rulers. The people will turn on each other in chaos. The chapter delivers a specific warning to the haughty, arrogant women of Zion, detailing the removal of their expensive clothing, jewelry, and ornate accessories. Their beauty will be replaced with shame, disease, and baldness, and their men will be killed in war.
