Isaiah 52

Isaiah 52

The prophet calls to Zion to awake, put on her beautiful garments, and shake off the dust of captivity, for she will no longer be polluted by the uncircumcised. God promises to ransom His people without cost. The chapter describes the feet of the messenger who brings good news (gospel) of peace, salvation, and the glorious message that "Your God reigns!" The chapter concludes with a foreshadowing of the Servant's work: He will be lifted up and exalted, but will first be marred beyond human recognition.
