Isaiah 54

Isaiah 54

God calls the barren and desolate Zion to sing and rejoice, for the time of her grief and humiliation is over. She is commanded to enlarge her tent and stretch out her curtains, for her children will be more numerous than those of the married woman. God promises to restore Israel with everlasting love and compassion, swearing that He will never again be angry with them. God promises to rebuild Jerusalem with beautiful stones and assures the people, "No weapon forged against you will prevail."
