Isaiah 57

The prophet laments the death of the righteous, whom God is taking away before the coming disaster. God condemns the people of Israel for their rampant, blatant idol worship and spiritual adultery, carrying out pagan rituals under every green tree and defiling themselves with child sacrifice. God declares that He is high and holy, but also dwells with the contrite and humble spirit, reviving the spirit of the lowly. God concludes that there is no peace for the wicked.
